Two writers have joined Peacock’s Dungeon Crawler Carl: Joshua Levy and Prathi Srinivasan, a writing duo. The source is Levy’s own Instagram post from September 22, which he also shared to Facebook: “New achievement! Very happy to announce we’re writing on Dungeon Crawler Carl. Great books, awesome party leaders, banging squad.” Door signs in the photo name them both, and each sign reads “Supervising Producer.”

The Dusty Crawler, a new live call-in talk show on YouTube, spotted the post first. They revealed it on their first episode on October 28. We couldn’t find any earlier coverage.

Levy and Srinivasan have known each other since high school, and they write together; their credits are identical. Recent ones include Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, Emily in Paris and Titans.

That makes four writers we know of in the room so far: showrunners Chris Yost and Eric Heisserer, plus Levy and Srinivasan. A public LinkedIn profile also shows the show has a writers’ room assistant.

Where things stand

Fuzzy Door, which is producing the show, lists Dungeon Crawler Carl on its website as an eight-episode season and says it expects to be in production by spring 2027.

The show is likely shooting in New Zealand. As we reported, Production Weekly lists New Zealand as the location, and an NBCUniversal-owned company called Princess Donut Limited was registered there in September.

The only announced casting so far is Jeff Hays as the voice of Princess Donut.

Joshua Levy and Prathi Srinivasan stand by a door with two signs reading “Dungeon Crawler Joshua” and “Dungeon Crawler Prathi,” each labeled “Supervising Producer,” beside Peacock’s “The Apocalypse Will Be Televised” graphic.
